Each title serves as a concise summation of the concept guiding each project. Keller’s albums reflect his pursuit to create music that sounds like nothing else. Un-beholden to conventionalism\, he seamlessly crosses genre boundaries. The end product is music that encompasses rock\, jazz\, funk and bluegrass\, and always keeps the audience on their feet. Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances\, no two of which are ever alike. For most of his career he has performed solo. His stage shows are rooted around Keller singing his compositions and choice cover songs\, while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar\, bass\, guitar synthesizer and drum samples; a technique called live phrase sampling or“looping”. The end result often leans toward a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronica\, a genre Keller jokingly calls “acoustic dance music” or ADM.” Keller’s constant evolution has led to numerous band projects as well; Keller & The Keels\, Grateful Grass\, KWahtro\, Keller and the Travelin’ McCourys\, Grateful Gospel\, More Than A Little and most recently DeadPettyKellerGrass. You can even catch him from time to time going back to his troubadour roots with his “Shut the Folk Up and Listen” series.   Keller can be found playing clubs and festivals with these projects and his tried and true solo looping show\, always changing things up and keeping moving. \n\nwww.kellerwilliams.net \n\nTix $30 in advance\n$37 at the doors URL:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/show/keller-williams-3/ LOCATION:The Holding Company – 1st Floor\, 5046 Newport Ave\, San Diego\, CA\, 92107\, United States CATEGORIES:Live Music ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/11_6-keller-11-x-17-in.png ORGANIZER;CN="gil.willow@the.team":MAILTO:gil.willow@the.team END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261107T123000 DTEND;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261107T170000 DTSTAMP:20261012T222402Z CREATED:20260911T052242Z LAST-MODIFIED:20261012T222402Z UID:10002343-1794054600-1794070800@theholdingcompanyob.com SUMMARY:Cero Viejo\, 1967\, Fight Naked\, Island Heart DESCRIPTION:Cero Viejo (feat former members of Authority Zero) + 1967 \nopening sets by Fight Naked + Island Heart URL:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/show/cero-viejo-1967/ LOCATION:The Holding Company – 1st Floor\, 5046 Newport Ave\, San Diego\, CA\, 92107\, United States CATEGORIES:Live Music ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/ciero-cero-rev.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261107T193000 DTEND;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261108T000000 DTSTAMP:20261010T021220Z CREATED:20260429T070705Z LAST-MODIFIED:20261010T021220Z UID:10002221-1794079800-1794096000@theholdingcompanyob.com SUMMARY:Incomplete Elements\, The Sound Rejects\, Tumbleweeds DESCRIPTION: URL:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/show/incomplete-elements-tumbleweeds/ LOCATION:The Holding Company – 1st Floor\, 5046 Newport Ave\, San Diego\, CA\, 92107\, United States CATEGORIES:Live Music ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Black20White20Bold20Punk20Grunge20Name20Band20Logo.jpeg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261108T163000 DTEND;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261108T203000 DTSTAMP:20261027T212952Z CREATED:20260428T024845Z LAST-MODIFIED:20261027T212952Z UID:10002220-1794155400-1794169800@theholdingcompanyob.com SUMMARY:Bad Marriage\, Sons of Kaos\, 69 Revelation DESCRIPTION:Bad Marriage is not just another band out of Boston. With 20 published albums to his credit and his numerous appearances with other artists\, KRS-One is believed to have written the most rhymes in Hip Hop’s history. In the 1990s as “hip-hop” grew more and more commercialized and corporate\, it was KRS-One that openly rejected such cultural exploitation and materialism grounding Hip Hop in its original principles of peace\, love\, unity and safely having fun. Teaching everything from self-creation to stopping violence; from vegetarianism to transcendental meditation\, from the establishment of Hip Hop Appreciation Week (every third week in May)\, to establishing Hip Hop as an international culture at the United Nations (2001)\, KRS-One has single-handedly held the history and original arts of Hip Hop together now for over two decades. In addition to lecturing at over 500 universities in the United States and publishing three ground-breaking books; “The Science of Rap” (1995)\, “Ruminations” (2003)\, and the Gospel of Hip Hop” (2009)\, KRS-One has also established the Stop The Violence Movement (1989)\, influenced the creation of the “West-Coast All-Stars’ anti-gang anthem “We’re All In The Same Gang” (1990)\, warned the Hip Hop community against giving up their humanity for technological advancement (H. E. A. L.—Human Education Against Lies-1991)\, and has established the Temple of Hip Hop for the spiritual exploration of Hip Hop’s culture (1996). It was KRS-One who first argued that “rap is something we do; Hip Hop is something we live” and introduced the “I am Hip Hop” philosophy in 1994 which Black Entertainment Television uses as the title of their Hip Hop Lifetime Achievement Award today. Without question\, KRS-One has been the loudest voice for the actual preservation and expansion of original Hip Hop worldwide. When he is not touring or lecturing\, on his so-called “down-time”\, KRS-One continues to share his unique knowledge of Hip Hop to younger audiences eager to hear the ‘teacha’ speak. Operating as a kind of “pop-up” school\, KRS-One’s Temple of Hip Hop has appeared in various cities in USA also in the UK and Europe offering the more serious student of Hip Hop an effective way to live and understand the culture of Hip Hop more deeply. UID:10002358-1796931000-1796943600@theholdingcompanyob.com SUMMARY:Long Beach Dub All Stars DESCRIPTION:Long Beach Dub Allstars formed in 1997\, rising from the tragedy of Bradley Nowell’s passing to carry on the spirit of the reggae-rock movement that Sublime helped pioneer. Founded by Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson\, alongside Long Beach music staples Opie Ortiz\, Miguel Happoldt\, and Marshall Goodman\, the band became a driving force in blending reggae\, dub\, ska\, punk\, and hip-hop into a sound that shaped an entire generation. \nTheir early albums\, Right Back (1999) and Wonders of the World (2001)\, were foundational for the reggae-rock genre\, bridging Sublime’s legacy with a new wave of artists. Their sound captured the raw energy of Southern California\, blending reggae grooves with punk attitude and hip-hop rhythms\, influencing countless bands that followed. \nAfter a hiatus\, LBDA reunited with fresh energy\, dropping their self-titled 2020 album and solidifying their place as torchbearers of the reggae-rock movement. Their latest record\, “Echo Mountain High”\, takes their sound to new heights—mixing psychedelic elements with reggae\, ska\, and dub\, while staying true to the signature Long Beach sound. Written during the pandemic\, the album was crafted in Opie Ortiz’s backyard before coming to life in the studio with an all-star lineup\, including Chris Dowd (Fishbone)\, Jesse Wagner (Aggrolites)\, and Devin Morrison (Expanders). The result is an album that pays homage to their roots while pushing the genre forward. \nWith Opie Ortiz (vocals)\, Miguel Happoldt (guitar)\, Tim Wu (horns)\, Roger Rivas (keys)\, Ed Kampwirth (bass)\, and Gil Sharone (drums)\, Long Beach Dub Allstars continue to evolve\, proving their music is more than nostalgia—it’s a living\, breathing force. From headlining festivals to inspiring new generations of musicians\, their influence is undeniable—keeping the sound and spirit of Long Beach alive and thriving. \nTickets $27 in advance \n$32 at the doors URL:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/show/long-beach-dub-all-stars/ LOCATION:The Holding Company – 1st Floor\, 5046 Newport Ave\, San Diego\, CA\, 92107\, United States CATEGORIES:Reggae ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://theholdingcompanyob.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/lba-Full-Dates-scaled.jpg ORGANIZER;CN="AutoCounts@minttalentgroup.com":MAILTO:AutoCounts@minttalentgroup.com END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261211T190000 DTEND;TZID=America/Tijuana:20261211T233000 DTSTAMP:20260929T222640Z CREATED:20260911T092439Z LAST-MODIFIED:20260929T222640Z UID:10002344-1797015600-1797031800@theholdingcompanyob.com SUMMARY:Strung Out: 2nd Annual Tiki Christmas (Day 1) DESCRIPTION:w/ A Static Lullaby + Grey Company \nTickets $32 in Advance ; $35 at the Doors \nGet Them Now They WILL SELL OUT! \n \n\nStrung Out is an American melodic hardcore band from Simi Valley\, California\, formed in 1991.
