Sons of Paradise is a reggae-rock band proudly hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded by high school friends Matt McClanahan (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Jordan Gee (keyboards), Sons of Paradise has risen to playing headlining venues across the country as well as supporting artists such as  The Elovaters, Tropidelic, Bumpin Uglies, Inner Circle, Beres Hammond, and many more.
Additionally Sons of Paradise has delighted fans at festivals including Reggae Rise Up Vegas and Reggae Rise Up Florida. Joined in 2023 by Joe Conroy (lead guitar) and Storm Adams (drums), and in 2024-2025 by Matt Corey (sax) and Donny Sill (bass), Sons of Paradise has its best lineup yet.
Sons of Paradise’s sound is hard to confine to one genre. An eclectic blend of powerful lyricism with playful hooks, elements of driving yet smooth lead guitar, complemented by melodic keyboard and organ, Sons of Paradise’s songs continue to push the boundaries of what might be considered “strictly reggae.” However don’t be fooled, the reggae style in Sons of Paradise comes through beautifully with roots style drum and bass mixed with traditional reggae guitar and keyboard, creating well balanced crave worthy songs that you’ll want to listen to over and over again.

Sit in Guest Mellodose. With over 35 million streams across platforms in just a few years since his launch, Mellodose has been added to over 100,000 Spotify user playlists. He has released over 100 songs with 35 different bands & artists in addition to having performed with collaborators at notable festivals such as Reggae Rise Up (Baltimore, MD & FL), Dry Diggings Festival (Grass Valley, CA), Point Break Music Festival.

Mellodose is the music of Puerto Rican artist & songwriter, Marco Mar. Having fallen in love with roots reggae & dub music early in life, the weight of the Jamaican genres is apparent in Mellodose’s music, though he often incorporates hip-hop, reggaeton, and indie pop elements as well. With 3 collab albums and 2 solo albums under his belt, Mellodose expands the message of community, healing, sober-living, and optimism to the live environment in 2026.
