The Freeze, Das Klown

The Freeze is an American punk rock band from Cape Cod,Massachusetts. Formed in 1978 when the original members were still in their teens, the storied band released the first single, "I Hate Tourists" in 1980 and contributed eight songs, including the title track, to the now classic 1982 hardcore punk compilation This Is Boston, Not L.A. Known for thought provoking lyrics and tight, propulsive punk rock rhythms layered with melody, The Freeze has been questioning authority and challenging the status quo for decades. From Rabid Reaction to Land of the Lost, and more recently, Calling All Creatures, the band has created a truly compelling discography, but they are not finished. The Freeze continue to create new music while staying true to their significant roots in the American punk rock lexicon.
Das Klown formed in Southern California in 1989. Their sound combines, melodic, heavy guitar riffs, powerful drumming, and abrasive vocals. With a brutally honest in your face stage presence, their lyrics, which are based on real life struggles, combine with a chaotic roller coaster ride of sound. They quickly gained momentum, releasing five full length, albums, numerous singles, and embarked on several U.S. and international tours, often accompanying bands, like The Dickies and Fear. After taking a twenty three year hiatus, they have made their comeback head lining and supporting bands like D. I., Guttermouth T. S. O. L. , and NOFX. Overseas this year, they toured across the UK, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands having the honor to share the stage with bands, like Stiff Little Fingers, Sham 69, and U. K. Subs, at the Rebellion Festival. With an eye towards 2025, they will be rocking more venues in both the United States and Europe. In the meantime, they are currently working on a new album being released on Take the City Records in Madrid, Spain
